HOW TO CHECK AND PROVE COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS (WIN XP, VIST & WIN 7)

In this world of technology, the needs for computers increase. people need to buy computers everyday, now the question is, "how can i know if what i buy is exactly what i want?" The answer is simple, CHECK ON THE SPECIFICATIONS. A

simple definition of "SPECIFICATIONS" can be "A detailed description of design criteria for a piece of work." In a simple language, these specifications are actually the ones which makes up the respective qualifications that make up a computer. they can be used to determine the price of the computer. 

On looking at the computer specification we consider the following primary and most important things; Hard Disk Capacity, Processing speed and RAM.

Today i will teach you how to check on the specifications on the computer. I will show you a simple way and more complex but accurate way. 

   1. The first way. This is the more popular and simpler way. What to do;

• On the desktop; go to the "My Computer" icon.
• Right click.
• Select Properties.
• there will appear a small windows with the CPU, RAM, and OS.
• This works in almost all the "Windows OS"

 Checking on the Hard Disk;

• Open "My computer"
• Then Right click on the Hard Disk icons.
• Then select "Properties"
• Also a small window Will appear with descriptions on Hard disk properties.
• Do this to all partitions.

;) You are done.....
this is the simplest way an so a well known one hence people can CHEAT. There existed people creating windows dialogs with computer descriptions  and command them to show up when following those above procedures. i have seen this mostly on WIN 7.
 
Now let tell you on show to manually check on the same specifications but in a way that cheating in less to be expected.
   
     2.  The second way. Complex but accurate.

• CHECKING ON THE DISK DRIVES.
• Go to "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
• Right click and select "Manage"
• On the left column, break down the "Storage" drop down tree.
• From there click on "Disk Management"
• After then, at the middle column, there will appear the list of all disks available with their descriptions.
• Hard disks, CD drives, and all USB drives connected on the computer.
• Below the list, the disks will be shown (with their partitions) respectively with their volume capacity.

CHECKING ON CPU, RAM, MODEL AN OTHER PROPERTIES.

• Go to the "Start Menu"
• Select "Run"
• then type dxdiag then hit ENTER.
• There will appear the "DirectX Diagnosis Tool"
• From within this window, you will be able to view and examine all the computer specification.
• This is the best way to do and will get you with correct answers. I hope it will help many of you.

BUT! Not everyone can afford to purchase such software, having no money doesn't mean you have to regret being so. Now, I will assist you with some few MANUAL simple ways that you can use to speed up you pc.

Manual Ways to Speed Up Your PC

1. Free up some disk space. this will give out some room for your computer to run freely. Empty the recycle bin, uninstall the programs that you do not use no more, remove windows temporary files and remove temporary internet files. 
2. frequently perform Hard disk Defragment.
3. Clean up your registry. this is highly recommended for your pc to run on a good condition. as it is hard to do it manually, you can use a software that can assist you to do this important this. software like Ccleaner, Registry cleaner and other of alike may be used.
4. Clean up he browser cache to speed up your internet.
5. Install a good Antispyware software. Spywares can highly affect your pc perfoemance so a good antispyware is very necessary.

NOW, you may ask me on which is the best way to speed up your pc. weather automatic or manual, well, automatic way is better that the manual ways. the disadvantage of the manual ways can't have a 100% access to the critical areas that requires a check up.  For that, next week i will provide you with some pc tune up tools which you may use.
