HOW TO CHECK AND PROVE COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS (WIN XP, VIST & WIN 7)

In this world of technology, the needs for computers increase. people need to buy computers everyday, now the question is, "how can i know if what i buy is exactly what i want?" The answer is simple, CHECK ON THE SPECIFICATIONS. A

simple definition of "SPECIFICATIONS" can be "A detailed description of design criteria for a piece of work." In a simple language, these specifications are actually the ones which makes up the respective qualifications that make up a computer. they can be used to determine the price of the computer. 

On looking at the computer specification we consider the following primary and most important things; Hard Disk Capacity, Processing speed and RAM.

Today i will teach you how to check on the specifications on the computer. I will show you a simple way and more complex but accurate way. 

   1. The first way. This is the more popular and simpler way. What to do;

• On the desktop; go to the "My Computer" icon.
• Right click.
• Select Properties.
• there will appear a small windows with the CPU, RAM, and OS.
• This works in almost all the "Windows OS"

 Checking on the Hard Disk;

• Open "My computer"
• Then Right click on the Hard Disk icons.
• Then select "Properties"
• Also a small window Will appear with descriptions on Hard disk properties.
• Do this to all partitions.

;) You are done.....
this is the simplest way an so a well known one hence people can CHEAT. There existed people creating windows dialogs with computer descriptions  and command them to show up when following those above procedures. i have seen this mostly on WIN 7.
 
Now let tell you on show to manually check on the same specifications but in a way that cheating in less to be expected.
   
     2.  The second way. Complex but accurate.

• CHECKING ON THE DISK DRIVES.
• Go to "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
• Right click and select "Manage"
• On the left column, break down the "Storage" drop down tree.
• From there click on "Disk Management"
• After then, at the middle column, there will appear the list of all disks available with their descriptions.
• Hard disks, CD drives, and all USB drives connected on the computer.
• Below the list, the disks will be shown (with their partitions) respectively with their volume capacity.

CHECKING ON CPU, RAM, MODEL AN OTHER PROPERTIES.

• Go to the "Start Menu"
• Select "Run"
• then type dxdiag then hit ENTER.
• There will appear the "DirectX Diagnosis Tool"
• From within this window, you will be able to view and examine all the computer specification.
• This is the best way to do and will get you with correct answers. I hope it will help many of you.

I think no one enjoys to wait for some couple os seconds sor aresponse on his/her pc. Personally i don't have such patience that's why i had to find this tutorial on how to speed up my pc. Now, for love, am sharing it with you.

BUT! Not everyone can afford to purchase such software, having no money doesn't mean you have to regret being so. Now, I will assist you with some few MANUAL simple ways that you can use to speed up you pc.

Manual Ways to Speed Up Your PC

1. Free up some disk space. this will give out some room for your computer to run freely. Empty the recycle bin, uninstall the programs that you do not use no more, remove windows temporary files and remove temporary internet files. 
2. frequently perform Hard disk Defragment.
3. Clean up your registry. this is highly recommended for your pc to run on a good condition. as it is hard to do it manually, you can use a software that can assist you to do this important this. software like Ccleaner, Registry cleaner and other of alike may be used.
4. Clean up he browser cache to speed up your internet.
5. Install a good Antispyware software. Spywares can highly affect your pc perfoemance so a good antispyware is very necessary.

NOW, you may ask me on which is the best way to speed up your pc. weather automatic or manual, well, automatic way is better that the manual ways. the disadvantage of the manual ways can't have a 100% access to the critical areas that requires a check up.  For that, next week i will provide you with some pc tune up tools which you may use.

Well, it’s officially here: The last pre-release build drop before Windows 8 is released to manufacturing has arrived. Dubbed the Release Preview, the build sports quite a few noteworthy changes and improvements over the Consumer Preview.

However, while it packs a number of improvements – which we shall detail shortly – it also doesn’t include a few things that Microsoft plans to bake into the OS by the release. For one, Microsoft recently revealed that the Aero UI that has been present in the Windows ecosystem since Vista is being axed, but Aero transparency is still in this build. I’m kind of disappointed that I can’t experience this in the RP bits; I’ve always argued that Aero felt out of place in Windows, and that Microsoft needed to replace it with something flatter for added UI consistency.

The company did also suggest that even more changes can be expected all the way to RTM, which is unusual for a Windows product. Usually, things get to a point of being feature-complete by the RC stage at most, and future changes are minimal. It goes to show that Windows 8 certainly feels a little bit rushed, but I’m not going to get too far into my thoughts on that.

The Developer Preview – released during BUILD last summer – topped the 500,000 download mark in 24 hours, while the Consumer Preview – released in February – topped one million downloads within the first 24 hours of its release. It should be interesting to see the traction of the Release Preview; should the pattern continue, perhaps it will surpass 2 million downloads within the first 24 hours of going live? There has been quite a fair bit of hype surrounding Windows 8, and I’m sure that most people who encountered bugs in the Consumer Preview build are anxious to see if those issues are resolved; I’m particularly hoping that the bug where the entire system locks up has been resolved by now.

Oh, and for you developers out there, don’t forget to also download the Windows Driver Kit 8 along with Visual Studio 2012, which also includes the Windows 8 SDK. You can get to work on those spiffy Metro apps now so that they’ll be ready to ship not long after Windows 8 itself does.

Now, I bet that by now you’re itching to get your hands on the actual bits. Simply select which architecture you’d like (the build was released in both x64 and x86 flavors, though we recommend you grab it in 64-bit if your system supports it), burn the ISO, and install the build!

HOW TO USE USB DISK AS RAM ON WINDOWS ..!XP

Different from windows vista and windows 7, windows Xp has no ready boost feature that helps to increase performance. BUT, we can also configure win XP computer by moving the paging file data to a flash drive to the increase system performance. The paging file on XP should be 1.5 times of the total RAM in your computer. So, if your computer RAM is 512MB, then set the minimum paging file size for your flash drive to 768MB. The maximum amount of virtual memory that XP can allocate for a paging file is 4GB (4096 MB), so DO NOT choose a flash drive that is larger than 4GB.

It is best if you choose an empty USB flash drive that has been formatted by the Windows computer. This is an easy process. The entire process of formatting the flash drive and configuring XP's settings should take some few minutes.

Things You'll Need

• High-speed USB flash drive
• Computer with an available USB port

Instructions

1.   Format the USB Flash Drive

Put in mind: you must insert the USB flash drive directly into an available USB port in your computer. Do not insert the drive into a USB hub.

2.   Configuring XP Settings

1. Go to the Desktop. Right-click "My Computer." In the menu that appears, select "Properties." Click the "Advanced" tab. 

2. Look in the dialog windows for the title "Performance." Click the button that says "Settings." Click the "Advanced" tab.

 3. Look under "Virtual Memory" and click the "Change" button.

  4. Look in the small window "Drive [Volume Label]." Click the drive letter for your flash drive.

5. Click "Custom size" and type in the minimum paging file amount in the "Initial size (MB)" window. (Convert gigabytes to megabytes for the number.)

6. Type in the maximum size you want to allocate in the "Maximum size (MB)" window, depending on the size of your flash drive. (Again, convert gigabytes to megabytes for the number.)

7. Go back to the "Drive [Volume Label]" window. Select the "C:" drive. Click the radio button "no paging file" and click "Set." At the confirmation window, click "Yes."

8. Click "OK," "OK," and "OK" to save your changes and exit the program. When Windows asks you to reboot your computer, click "Yes."

Warning!

     USB Flash drives have a limited write life. This means that a flash drive will not last forever---after a period of time and use, the drive will become unusable. remember to convert all the values in GB to MB (1 gb = 1024 mb)
